First Eagle, a female, came to us after apparently hitting some powerlines. Her wing is permanently damaged and she is unable to fly. She is a breeding female from a pair that have nested on the refuge near our house. Almost 2 months later we get a second Eagle, a male, from the same refuge. He has been in a fight with something and has a partial wing amputation. Same wing as the female. We believe this male eagle may be the mate to the female. Here they are introduced for the first time. FOR MORE INFORMATION ON OUR REHABILITATION WORK PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE AT:

Here she is learning how to sit quietly on my glove for creance flying
She couldn't get any lift or land
This was her first attempt to fly on a creance
You can see the severity of her wing injury here
This is the female when she initially came in
When's supper?
They settle in very quickly
Unheard of when introducing raptors to each other for the first time.
Not a single squabble
Now what
final leap and he makes it
But she keeps calling
having second thoughts
One more stump
Still not sure
Doesn't trust it since the last time he missed and fell.
He's listening
And finally...
She calls some more
Look for food
